Thanksgiving!

Drabble, Drabble

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in Canada! Hope you all have a good long weekend and obscene amounts of turkey. <3

Writing, photography, and everything else has been extremely slow. I'm not really feeling any sort of inspiration. I am in the planning stages for a story I really want to get serious about writing, but I doubt I will post it on DA. Partially because I want to treat it like a formal project, and the entire way I will be tweaking, fixing, and learning. If I want creative criticism, I want to hand it to a close personal friend.

Of course, it's likely that I'll post some tidbits I write using the characters while I try and flesh them out and make them more believable. I've got to submit something eventually.

I'm still on the hunt for some writing exercises. Anything will do. If anyone has a suggestion and a link, I'd be forever grateful.

Drabble, Drabble
The lovely =Jiyuu-Chan pulled a fast one on me and bought me a DA sub. <3 Thank you, love! I'll pretty up my journal sometime soon. 8D

Art-wise, things have been slow. Like, really slow. I've got a few drabbles written and a few things sketched out, but that's the extent of it. Life has been extremely busy.

I downloaded another photoshop trial and I've been tinkering with that. I now know that I don't have the patience required to do digital artwork. XD

That's all for now~ I should really get some sleep.

Lol. I came back from class to find my roommate playing Kingdom Hearts 2.

I wish I could inconspicuously take a picture of her face. It's a perfect "WTF" expression.

So yes, residence life is good, and my first day of classes/orientation was alright. I need to get used to this whole 'school' thing again. I've got more spare time now than I did during the summer, so I'll try and get more writing done.

I feel like doing a sort of writing challenge. Maybe like a meme, but more involved. I just want some practise. Anyone have a suggestion?

Time Flies

I can't believe it's August already. I'm not all that torn up about it, though. This summer has been a slow one, and I'm utterly sick of working in a crappy warehouse cutting fibreglass insulation all day. I just want to go back to school.

I'm planning on doing a few more quick stories based on the character I have been writing about recently; it's been my goal this summer to get her more set in stone instead of reinventing her over and over. That's going well so far, and I'm quite enjoying it. It's funny how attached you can get to someone you made up in your own mind.

That's something I miss all-around; character development. Not many people focus on that anymore. I personally would rather have a realistic character than an overly epic plotline.

I guess that's all for now. I've got some serious catching up to do with my neglected Wii system, and some new school books I want to get a head start on reading.
